Man Charged With Stabbing In Taco Bell Parking Lot

A Vale man was arrested last week after being accused of a Christmas Day stabbing in a Taco Bell parking lot. 

According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received a report of an assault involving a knife. They responded to Catawba Valley Medical Center, where they spoke with the victim, a witness and the suspect, 38-year-old Bruce Alan Reed. 

Deputies observed the victims’ injuries, which reportedly included deep lacerations. Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem for further treatment. The assault allegedly occurred in the parking lot of the Taco Bell on Old NC 10 in Icard.

Reed was placed in the Burke County Detention Center with bond set at $50,000.
