A man is in custody following a brief chase this morning in Newton. 27 year old Christian Ntxhw Vue of Albemarle was taken into custody by Newton Police and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen goods, fleeing eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest. Vue was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond. The investigation is ongoing. Vue is scheduled to appear in Catawba County Court on Monday, November 26th.
