A Catawba County man is facing a long list of charges after his arrest Sunday. 28-year-old Brian Blake Blackburn of Claremont was arrested by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office for possession methamphetamine and felony probation. He also faces at least seven counts of failure to appear on charges including felony possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession a controlled substance on jail premises. Blackburn was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center with a combined secured bond of $60,000. He has a series of court appearances scheduled including today in Newton.
