The Wilkes County sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident where two people were shot to death.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Caudill Road at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a shooting. They found Daniel Long, 21, conducting CPR on Jenna Boles, 19, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Boles was pronounced dead at the scene a few moments later.Long had stated multiple times that he accidentally shot her. Long and Boles were said to be in a relationship.
During the investigation, Long walked out to his vehicle, retrieved a handgun and shot himself. Long was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office.
