Maiden Man Arrested After Tussle With Hickory Police

Matthew Scott Gantt, 31, of South F Ave, Maiden, was arrested by the Hickory Police Department on Wednesday evening. He is charged with the following:

Felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver
Felony possession of fentanyl
Possession of schedule VI controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Larceny
Assault on a government official
Resisting arrest

Gantt is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond.
