Lenoir Woman Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl

On Wednesday, July 2, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives assisted Officers with North Carolina Probation and Parole during a house search.

Cynthia Denise Reid, age 48 of 2796 Shewcraft in Lenoir, was arrested after Officers discovered drug paraphernalia, nearly 18 grams of fentanyl, a Mossberg .410 shotgun, and over $1,000 in cash.

Reid was charged with the following offenses:

Trafficking Opium or Heroin (fentanyl)
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
Two counts of Probation Violations

Reid also has previous charges pending for felony probation violation dating to 2023. She remains in custody with bond set at $60,000. Due to overcrowding at the Caldwell County Detention Center, Reid is now being held in Alexander County.
