Lenoir Woman Charged In Connection To Death Of Child At Daycare Facility

Following the death of a 16-month-old child, Lenoir Police have made an arrest.

29-year-old Alexandra Lee Livingston Coffey of Lenoir has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. The charge is related to an investigation into the death of the child on Monday, May 19 at Creative Beginnings Daycare of Lenoir. Reports indicate the charges were filed after findings by the State Medical Examiners Office. Livingston was employed at the facility. She’s was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center with bond set for $500,000. No other information surrounding the death has been released. A media report says Lenoir Police suspect the girl died of cardiac arrest, but an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has suspended the license of Creative Beginnings Daycare.
