Lenoir Man Charged With Watauga County Hit And Run

A Lenoir man has been charged in connection to a hit-and-run crash that left two people injured last week in Boone.

Boone Police arrested Tristan Joseph Schreiber, 29, on Monday and charged with two counts of felony hit-and-run causing serious injury and one count of failing to maintain lane control.

According to police, Deedra McCullough, 29, of Boone, and Joshua Dotson, 20, of Vilas, were walking along West King Street around 11:34 p.m. Wednesday, September. 23. A vehicle ran off the roadway, struck them both and drove away. The arrest warrant says McCullough suffered a broken pelvis, internal organ damage, and a broken right leg and right arm. Dotson suffered a broken jaw and a broken right leg and right arm.

Watauga County court documents indicate that debris from the suspect vehicle led to the charges.

Schreiber is being held without bond in the Watauga County Jail.
