Lenoir Man Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl

39-year-old Sidney John Bryant of Playmore Beach Road in Lenoir was arrested by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with two counts of trafficking fentanyl, maintaining a dwelling for narcotics, and possession with intent to sell and deliver controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a public park.

Narcotic Agents with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Playmore Beach Road in Lenoir. The target of the investigation, Sidney John Bryant, was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, Agents found approximately seven grams of fentanyl in Bryant’s possession.

The total fentanyl seized in the investigation has a street value of $1,640 according to North Carolina State Drug Guidelines. Bryant was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
