Lenoir Man Charged With Threatening To Blow-Up Google Building

A Lenoir man is facing a felony charge after allegedly threatening to blow up a Google building.

According to court records, 59-year-old Nathan Neil Coffey allegedly stated publicly to two individuals that he was going to blow up the Google building in Lenoir. The records allege Coffey made the statement knowing it was false and reported that a device designed to destroy the building by explosion was located inside. The incident occurred Wednesday, September 16.

Coffey was charged by the Lenoir Police Department with felony false bomb report concerning a public building and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $15,000 secured bond. A court date is scheduled for October 5.
