26-year-old Marcus Allen Whisnant of Road in Lenoir was arrested Saturday, December 9 by Caldwell County Sheriff’s deputies. He was charged with felony fleeing to elude arrest, felony assault on a government official, and two misdemeanors, resisting, delaying, or obstructing a public official. Whisnant was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Facility under a $105,000 secured bond and a District Court date scheduled for January 3, 2024.
