Alexander Central’s Women’s Basketball team hosted Watauga in a non-conference game Wednesday in Taylorsville.

The Lady Cougars bounced back from their first loss of the season and routed the visitors from Boone. Gracie Harrington and Chesney Stikeleather paced the scoring for AC with 16 each, Nikki Hagy produced another double-double with 14 pts and 13 rebounds. This game was played as a non-league contest. ACHS improves to 5-1.
The Lady Cougars are ranked 13th in the Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 Poll.
