The Lady Cougars lost their first game of the season Tuesday evening at South Caldwell. The Spartans held a 25-15 lead at the half on a night when Alexander Central shot only 26 percent and hit only 9 of 20 free-throws. Nikki Hagy managed another double-double for AC with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
With the loss, Alexander Central falls to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in Northwestern Conference play. South Caldwell improves to 3-3 and 2-3.
