Taylorsville: Alexander Central led 7-2 going to the 6th inning. They trailed 8-7 when they came to bat in the bottom of the frame. South Iredell plated 6 runs aided by some AC fielding blunders (6 errors and 7 unearned runs on the night). Alexander Central erupted for 9 runs in the bottom of the 6th to put the game in the win column.
Kyla Hamby was 2 of 4 with 4 rbi including a homer. Alivia Smith went 3 of 3 with a homer and 3 runs batted in. Adi Eckard had 2 rbi. South’s Addison Trego slugged a grand slam for the visitors.
