Troutman – A teen has been charged with a stopped school bus violation that occurred on Carlyle Road in Iredell County on Thursday, January 4th.
The incident garnered huge media attention after the NC Highway Patrol released a video of the incident showing a child nearly being struck.
Ishmael Partida Gonzalez, 18, of Davidson, is charged with passing a stopped school bus, careless and reckless driving, no motorcycle endorsement, and a registration violation.
Gonzalez surrendered to authorities at the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. He has been released under a $2, 500 bond.
