Iredell Deputies Charge Man For Using False Identity

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with attempting to purchase a recreational vehicle with a false identity.

37-year old Jeffrey Gray Hatcher Jr of Greenesboro on January 12th at a location on Salisbury Road. Hatcher had used personal information of another person when the credit application was completed. He had used the same method in December of 2020 at the dealership. It was verified that Hatcher has used the same methods to obtain vehicles at several additional dealerships across the state.

Hatcher was charged with Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, and Felony Attempted Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. The suspect also was served with an outstanding arrest warrant from Durham County for Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
