Iredell Couple Nabbed On Felony Drug Trafficking Charges By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office

An Iredell County couple is facing felony drug trafficking charges after their arrest on Wednesday by Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

33-year old Michael Darrell Garvin of Statesville is charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of a weapon by a felon. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $100,000. Garvin is scheduled to appear in district court on Monday, October 10th,

23-year old Tiatana Howell of Mooresville is charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon. Her bond is listed at $75,000 and she remains in custody in the Alexander County Jail. Howell is scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court on Monday, October 10th.
