Iredell County Teacher Charged With Sending Explicit Image To Student

An Iredell County teacher has been charged after she allegedly sent a nude image and a sexually explicit video of herself to a student.

Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Investigators say they received a report on September 22nd regarding 44-year old April Viney, a teacher at West Iredell High School.

According to a news release the victim was a former student of Viney at West Iredell. At the time of the incident, the victim was enrolled as an online student. Viney was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with two felony counts of felony dissemination of obscenity.

She has been placed in the Iredell County Detention Center with a bond set at $50,000.
