Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Bust On A Pair of Suspected Meth Dealers

On Wednesday, August 6, two individuals were taken into custody by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation involving illegal drugs and outstanding felony warrants.

Narcotics Detectives had received reliable information that John Anthony Mazzullo, age 55 of Statesville was staying at the Masters Inn located at 702 Sullivan Road in Statesville. Information they received said Mazzullo was dealing methamphetamine and trying to avoid arrest on multiple outstanding warrants for , , , .

Investigators began surveilling the motel and soon identified a second individual, Cody Shane Jett, age 24 of Statesville. During the investigation, detectives determined that Jett was supplying large amounts of Methamphetamine in Iredell County.

After taking Mazzullo into custody, investigators obtained a search warrant, searched his hotel room, and located evidence connecting Jett to drug trafficking. When Jett later returned to the area, Deputies conducted a traffic stop and found a half pound of Methamphetamine worth over $22,000 in his vehicle.

John Anthony Mazzullo was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center and served with his outstanding warrants. He was issued a $50,000 secured bond.

Cody Shane Jett

Cody Shane Jett was charged with Felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony trafficking meth by transportation, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance. Jett was ordered to jail without bond because was already out on bond for unrelated charges.
