STATESVILLE– N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close a section of Chipley Ford Road north of Statesville today and tomorrow, weather permitting.
The closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days so crews can safely install a crossline pipe under the roadway.
Drivers will be detoured around the closure using Bess and Friendship roads, returning to Chipley Ford Road.
Drivers should remain alert, use caution, and reduce speed in the work zone.
