An Iredell County farmer died in a Monday accident.
76-year old Robert Stamey was killed when the Skid-Steer he was operating slid into a waste lagoon.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy attempted to rescue Stamey who was inside the cab of the Skid-Steer. The officer was unable to reach the victim.
