Iredell County Man Charged After Shooting Incident

On Friday March 17th, shortly after 5:00 p.m., Iredell County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 496 Tabor Road in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, Deputies located a male victim in the yard suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was quickly transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for treatment. Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrived and began processing the scene for evidence. Once the victim was stabilized at the hospital, Detectives interviewed the victim who indicated that his neighbor and cousin, Brady Wayne Gaither, Jr. was the person who shot him. The victim stated the shooting occurred after a verbal argument with 58-year old Brady Wayne Gaiter Jr.

Gaither was charged with Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

On Wednesday morning March 22nd Gaither was located and arrested. He was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center with a secured bond of $300,000.
