Iredell County Driver Crashes Into Mooresville Police Vehicle

MOORESVILLE- On Saturday, November 1st, at 9:38 P.M., The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a collision with personal injuries involving a Mooresville Police Department Officer, in Iredell County. A 2012 Toyota Camry traveling North on NC 801, drove off the roadway to the right, overcorrected and then crossed the centerline colliding with a Southbound Mooresville Police Department officers patrol vehicle.

The driver of the Camry, Gabriel Matthew Cline, 19, of Mooresville, was transported to an area hospital by EMS where he was later cleared. Mr. Cline was then charged by Troopers with driving while impaired, driving by person less than 21 years old after consuming alcohol, felony serious injury by motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, reckless driving, possessing an open container of alcohol. He was then issued a $10,000 secured bond at the Iredell County Magistrates Office.

The Mooresville Police Officer was transported to an area hospital by EMS and was later released.
