The Lake Norman-Mooresville Men’s basketball game Friday night at Lake Norman High School ended prematurely when fights broke out in the stands on the visiting side. Law enforcement had to intervene. The game was called with Mooresville ahead 23-8. The second half was not played and the game will not be resumed.
Unconfirmed reports were that the fights were between Mooresville students and individuals from Statesville and stemmed from confrontations in prior days.
