Inmate Captured This Morning After Escape From Caldwell Prison Facility

According to a press release from the NC Department of Corrections, an inmate who escaped Friday morning from the Caldwell Correctional Institution in Lenoir has been captured.

Offender Christopher Shane Greer, age 44 (#0620836) was captured without incident at 7:25 a.m. on foot a short distance from the prison.

Greer is a habitual felon convicted in Guilford County.   His scheduled release date is 2028.
