Human remains have been found in a Wilkes County field.
On Thursday, March 30th, the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office responded after a property owner notified them that what appeared to be human remains had been found in a field off Barlow Hill Road in the Mulberry Community. Deputies secured the scene and recovered partial human remains which remain unidentified.
The NC State Bureau of Investigations is assisting the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.
