Highway Patrol Arrests Man After I-40 Pursuit

A Western North Carolina man is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center after leading the NC Highway Patrol on a vehicle chase. 21-year-old Caden Albert Wages of Sapphire, NC (Transylvania County) is charged with

Felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle
Reckless driving with wanton disregard
Speeding (130 mph)
No insurance

According to court documents, Wages was clocked at 130 mph on Interstate-40 in Catawba County. As of earlier today, Wages remains in custody with a bond set at $15,000.
