Hiddenite Woman Charged With Assaulting Detention Officer

A Hiddenite woman already in custody has been charged following an alleged incident at the Alexander County Detention Center.

April Nicole Combs, age 35, is charged with felony assault on a Detention Officer. The charge was filed on Wednesday November 19th. Combs allegedly struck a Detention Officer in the face while she was wearing handcuffs. An additional secured bond of $15,000 was issued.

Combs has been in custody since October 18th when she was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering by Taylorsville Police.
