During the evening hours of Thursday, October 12th, George Henry Overton of Hiddenite was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was served Catawba County warrants for larceny and probation violation. Overton was transferred to the custody of the Catawba County Detention Center where he remains in custody with a secured bond listed at $5,000.
