37 year-old Christopher Erwindale Bunton of Hiddenite was arrested Monday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. Bunton was charged with one count of failure to appear for assault on a female. Bunton was confined in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $3,000. He has a new court date set for March 25th in Newton.
