Michael Chad Rood
Michael Chad Rood, age 39, Cheatham Ford Rd., Taylorsville, was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office in July of last year and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. On Friday, Rood was served the order of indictment and placed in custody.
Rood is a registered sex-offender after a 2007 conviction in Alexander County for felonious restraint of a minor. He served 16 months in prison.
The suspect remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with bond listed at $30,000.
