Hiddenite Man Free On Bond Is Now Back In Jail

Again, Hermon Deweiricol Chambers, 43 of Hiddenite is in custody. He was arrested on Monday for multiple counts of failure to appear. Chambers was arrested on May 30th and charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court leading to a judge issuing an arrest warrant when he did not make it to the court session.

A list of other previous charges are pending that include felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also awaiting trial on charges of felony probation violation, felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

As of earlier today, Chambers remained in the Alexander County Detention without bond.
