Hiddenite Man Detained Without Bond

Chadrick Deon Lackey, age 49, Hill River RD., Hiddenite, is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center. He was detained Monday for felony probation violation. Court documents indicate that Lackey was ordered to enroll in an inpatient treatment program which records indicate he failed to do. Suspect was told that if he failed to enroll within 30 days he would be arrested for felony probation violation. On Monday, a judge upheld the decision to deny bond until the next session of Superior Court.

Lackey was convicted in April for felony fraud and possession of schedule II controlled substance. He was given a 30 month suspended sentence.
