Hiddenite Man Arrested On Felony Child Pornography Charges

As the result of an investigation spanning several weeks by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, a Hiddenite man is facing charges associated with the downloading of child-pornography via the internet.

Deputies arrested 23-year old Carlos Daniel Ortiz on Tuesday and charged him with felony second-degree exploitation of a minor. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $150,000. He is scheduled to make a Taylorsville court appearance on January 8th.
