Roger Thomas Hamby, age 34 of Hiddenite, was arrested Wednesday by the Catawba Sheriff’s Office and charged with identity theft. He was also served arrest warrants for failure to appear after missing court dates on a charge of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance and breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Hamby is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $51,000. A June 30th court date is scheduled.
