A large structure was destroyed by fire Thursday morning in Hiddenite.
Alexander County 911 dispatched firefighters to a location on Dagenhart Frame Road at 11:16 am. Hiddenite, Stony Point and Central Alexander Departments found the structure heavily involved in flames according to County Fire Marshall Mark Earle. Units fought the flames for the better part of two hours.
Earle says the structure is a total loss and the cause is still under investigation.
Alexander County EMS was on the scene but no injuries were reported.
