Audrey Leann James, age 38 of Hickory, was taken into custody on Friday, August 16 by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies on two failure to appear charges including misdemeanor larceny and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. During the booking process, James was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises. She remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $8,000.
