A teen was shot to death outside an apartment complex overnight in Hickory.
Hickory Police responded to the Civitan Court Apartments on 17th Avenue around 1am. A man identified as 19-year old Omari Drovon Alexander was found shot to death in the drivers seat of a vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene as the result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Reports indicate that Alexander was a sophomore member of the Lenoir-Rhyne Football team. Alexander was not with the LR team that departed earlier Friday for a playoff game at Bowie State, Maryland.
