Hickory Police say two men were injured in an altercation at a homeless camp along 15th Avenue Place SE on Friday. The location is near the McDonald’s on Highway 70.
Both men were taken to hospitals, one was airlifted.
Published reports say a machete and lots of blood were spotted at the scene of the incident.
Police have not released any other investigation other than to confirm an investigation is ongoing.
