Hickory Police Identify Victim Of Fatal Shooting

Two men shot Tuesday night at a Catawba County car wash have been identified by the Hickory Police Department.

Dalton James Flynn, age 23 of Vale, died from a gunshot wound after being taken to Frye Regional Medical Center. Flynn was shot at a car wash on Highway 127 in Mountain View.

HPD investigators learned that a suspect had fled the scene in a white Audi. The vehicle was located by the Brookford Police Department. The driver, 19-year old Nicholas Huffman of Vale had suffered a gunshot wound in the leg. He was airlifted to a regional medical facility.

No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
