James David Houser
James David Houser , age 30 of Hickory, had been identified as the suspect in the murder of Mary Elizabeth Ervin, 30 of Hickory. Officers found her unresponsive on July 4th inside a room at the Deluxe Inn on Highway 70 SW. She died from an apparent gunshot wound.
Houser is being held without bond in the Catawba County Detention Center.
