Hickory Police Charge Man With Three Counts Of Attempted First Degree Murder

Hickory Police have charged and arrested a suspect for a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, January 31 that left one seriously injured.

Zamarion Emanuel Calloway, 19, of Hickory was charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of discharging a weapon into occupied property. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond.

Investigators determined that Calloway shot into a vehicle near South Center Street and 1st Avenue SE injuring one of three occupants. The vehicle the occupants were in, a 2010 Nissan Altima, had been reported stolen earlier in the day.

The injured victim, a male juvenile, was flown to a regional medical center where he is in stable condition as of Friday, February 2.
