Hickory Man Taken Into Custody This Morning

A Hickory man is in custody after being charged early this morning by Longview Police.

38-year old Samuel Everette Young is charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, identity theft, possession of methamphetamine and resisting a public officer. Young is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $52,500. He is scheduled for an initial court appearance today in Newton.
