A Catawba County man was killed in a Wednesday night crash north of Lenoir.
53-year old Ralph Preston Wolfe Jr. of Hickory was operating a moped around 10:45 on U.S. Highway 321 near the intersection of Alex Lee Boulevard. Two other vehicles collided on the highway resulting in one striking the moped. Wolfe was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the other vehicles were not injured.
The Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation with no charges filed as yet.
