Hickory Man Just Out Of Prison Is Back In Jail

34-year-old Dallas Loyd Gragg of Hickory was arrested Friday (December 1) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon. Gragg is also charged with parole violation.

Gragg is on parole as a result of a conviction in May, 2021 in Catawba County on felony counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of schedule II controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell schedule I controlled substance. He was released from prison on September 18 of this year.

Following Friday’s arrest, Gragg was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under no bond. A District Court date was scheduled for Monday.
