Annan Wayne Shew, age 35 of Hickory, was arrested Tuesday by Hickory Police Officers. He faces charges that include multiple counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shew is being held in the Catawba County Jail under a secured bond of $160,000. He is due to appear in Catawba County District Court today in Newton.
