36-year-old William Cornelius Gibbs, Jr of Hickory was arrested Tuesday by Deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with felony counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and speeding to elude arrest. Gibbs was brought to the Caldwell County Detention Center under $500,000 secured bond. District Court appearance was scheduled for Wednesday.
