Hickory Police Officers arrested 27-year old Damon Maurice Surratt on Tuesday and charged him with first-degree burglary, malicious conduct by prisoner, multiple counts of injury to real property and communicating threats, and single counts of injury to personal property and intoxicated & disruptive behavior. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $125,000. Surratt was scheduled to make a court appearance today in Newton.
