Hickory Police arrested 35-year old Erick Omar Hernandez on Wednesday and charged him with statutory sex offense against a person who is less than 16 years of age. Hernandez lists a Hickory address and is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $10,000. He is scheduled for a court appearance today in Newton.
