Hickory Police arrested 35-year old Jarrel Shavar Niles early this morning. He was charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer. Niles, of Hickory, is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $20,000. A first court appearance is set for today. (Tuesday, June 1)
